African Drumming
12:15pm
Get ready to play the drums with Appeah from African Drumming! Originally from Ghana, Appiah is a master dancer and hand drummer. Appiah maintains a strong connection to community by working a lot with youth, the elderly and the disadvantaged. Having studied Community Cultural Development at VCA he aims to use the arts to encourage respect, togetherness and understanding among groups and cultures. Appiah is one of our most popular performers, specialising in everything from kids parties to large scale events.
In the words of African Drumming, “The drum does not segregate, judge or condone; it is a unifier, an inspirer and a panacea for body, mind and soul…”
Ngargee Youth Dance

Ngargee is a Contemporary First Nations Youth Dance Company. "As we create performance works, we draw from many genres of dance and music across First Nations cultural dance, contemporary dance and hip-hop." Ngargee Youth Dance is a collaboration between Dance Specialist Katy McKeown (MTEACH PGCE BAHONs) and Elder Dr Carolyn Briggs AM, aimed at closing the gap in dance. The contemporary First Nations dance group was born out of a desire to enable more First Nations children access to dance that showcases their identity and stories. NYD aims to bolster pathways in the performing arts and wider fields.
Michael Crane
1:30pm Stage & 2pm Lounge
Michael Crane has lived at Park Towers for 25 years. He has released 10 books of poems since 1999 with small presses. He has organised many music and poetry events in the city of Port Phillip He has appeared three times in the Best Australian Poem series. Michael is the producer of Into the Limelight which are short films featuring people with mental illnesses. He has a pet called Vince the cat formerly known as Prince.
Merci

Merci is a singer and dancer who will be performing two songs: a classic Australian sing-along and an upbeat Swahili dance. We met Merci through the South Melbourne artsbus where her daughter joins our weekly programs. Everyone in the audience will be invited to sing and dance with Merci at Y(Our) Fest!
Mila & Lucas
2:15pm
Mila and Lucas are a young, passionate and up and coming acoustic duo. Having met in music class at school, they quickly bonded over a shared love of John Mayer and started to create their own sound together. With Mila’s unique bluesy vocals and Lucas’ effortless guitar, their sound is a modern mix of Jazz, Blues and Soft Rock. They have performed together at Battle of the Bands, Talent nights, fundraisers and regularly busk at markets around The City of Port Phillip. They love to perform covers by other favourite artists such as Amy Winehouse, Jeff Buckley and Arctic Monkeys but also enjoy writing their own music which they look forward to sharing as they pursue their career in the music industry.
Charlie Owen and Terry Serio ~ Sing with the Kids

Join Charlie Owen and Terry Serio on the Y(Our) Fest stage for a sing along! Charles Lothian Lloyd “Charlie” Owen is an Australian multi-instrumentalist and producer. Terry Serio is an Australian actor, director, musician and singer-songwriter. Both Charlie and Terry are big supporters of Artists for Kids Culture and we’re so excited to have them join us at this year’s Y(Our) Fest!
Mr Pink
3:00pm
With members from all across Melbourne, Mr. Pink is an up-and-coming band combining indie rock and pop punk influences with an infectious energy that’ll get anyone on the dance floor. Their catchy melodies and relatable lyrics mean despite playing their debut show only two months ago, Mr. Pink is making a splash on the Melbourne music scene and showing no signs of slowing down
Mansplainers
3:40pm
Mansplainers are an indie rock band based in Naarm. Its members are inner-city high school students who draw inspiration from artists such as Merpire, Carla Geneve and Wet Leg. Mansplainers have appeared on ABC ME and recently performed at Fed Square with their original songs.
RidzyRay
4:15pm
Writing and producing all his own music, Wemba Wemba rapper Ridzyray is a talented artist who effortlessly incorporates various styles of music into his own while maintaining an authentic sound. His contagious energy is playful and exhilarating. Combine that with his slick delivery you won't be disappointed
