Y(Our)Fest will be emceed by Alaynah Jaffery and Anesu Gwara from CMY Gippsland’s award winning, ‘Double Standards’ podcast. Drumbeats will fill the Wooden Park to energise us for the day! The Chenda (Malayalam: ചെണ്ട) is a cylindrical percussion instrument originating in the state of Kerala, India.

Cherise Ncube is a young author whose books help young children to learn, respect and celebrate the differences that make everyone special. Her stories are carefully crafted to dynamically engage the minds of young readers and encourage them to embrace and celebrate diversity from a young age.
Our Special Lunch is an easy-to-read, beautifully illustrated and inspiring celebration of diversity intended to help young children to understand, value and respect different cultures of the world through sharing food.
SPAG Gippsland Ati-atihan Group

Billie Spokes is a self taught musician and alternative folk singer/songwriter located and based around the Central Gippsland area.
Ally Row
3:40PM - 4:20PM
Gunaikurnai/Gippsland based, Ally Row are an indie pop-folk rock duo that are breaking the barriers of genres with toe-tapping yet emotive music. The multi-instrumentalists perform velvety harmonies alongside driving guitar and piano, with modernised elements of banjo, harmonica and stomp box. Together, the two-piece band create a powerful synergy with heartfelt memorable originals that will get you dancing.

What do you need to pay for?
Entry and all drop-in activities are completely free! This is made possible by our funders (see below)
Priced items are sold by amazing local caterers: Kiki Coffee, hot food and iced drinks by Pen's Kitchen, and Indian Lunch packs by Great Indian Restaurant
There is a free sausage sizzle (halal and vegetarian options included) by Rotary Club of Morwell from 12:30PM until about 3PM

What safety information is useful to know?
Lost Kids Area and the Information Tent will be at the artsbus located near the band room
First Aid is in the bandroom
Toilets are located next to bandroom
Wool Chill Zone is next to the toilets all day. This is a space for anyone needing a quiet space
Local Headspace Staff are at the event from 12PM - 3PM and there are Mental Health First Aid trained event workers on site for the full event.
Security is on site, supported by Artists for Kids Culture event staff and volunteers
All event staff and volunteers have Working With Children Checks and are present to support a child safe and family friendly event.
Are there any other rules?
Young children must be actively supervised by parents and carers
Please keep dogs on leads during the event
This is an alcohol-free event
The emergency evacuation meeting place is the open space at the back of the reserve. Attendees should follow all instructions provided by event staff (i.e. identifiable by fluorescent vests)
